POSITION TITLE:   Clinical Therapist  - Outpatient Addiction Recovery Services


The Clinical Therapist will be responsible to develop and monitor a treatment plan in agreement with each client assigned, in an effort to empower clients to cope and deal with their substance use and co-occurring disorders. Will provide assessment/evaluation, individual, group and family therapies, case management and referral services for clients at the outpatient level of care primarily at the 4303 Building Intensive Outpatient Program and will float between other outpatient programming within the agency.  Will also assist with daily operations and crisis intervention as needed.


The position requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work and licensure as a CSW, LPCA or MFTA and/or CADC or LCADC with a preference given to an LCSW, LPCC, or MFT/LMFT and must have at least one year working with persons that are affected by substance use issues and co-occurring disorders.  This position requires a proven ability in providing clinical services in addition to communications, social casework, and billing requirements with KY Medicaid.  Responsible for the overall clinical services to men, women and families that may have, or have been affected by substance use and/or co-occurring disorder issues.  This position requires the following knowledge and skills: work with addiction and co-occurring disorders, use of cognitive behavioral therapies, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques, use of community resources and ability to serve as an appropriate role model. Must have the ability to apply all relevant therapeutic modalities including family therapy. Compassion towards people living with behavioral health and substance use issues, Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS is a must and the ability to convey respect to the target populations is critical.  Must learn and apply agency, personnel and program policies, and procedures.
